Jon Bon Jovi is the latest celebrity to be targeted by social media rumors suggesting that he had died.
From an ealier article of ours – “FFS – If you can’t confirm it then don’t repeat it, retweet it, post it or even whisper it. ” Once again, an irresponsible rumor got started and social media ran with it.
The good news is that Jon Bon Jovi is not dead. Reports that Bon Jovi had been found unconscious in a hotel room and had died from a heart attack spread the internet like wild fire earlier this week – leaving him to personally silennce the false stories on his Facebook page. Taking to the social networking site, the 49 year old Bon Jovi posted a picture of himself posing in front of a Christmas tree and holding up the following message: “Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey, Dec 19th 2011, 6.00.”
