Pamela Anderson is set to play the Virgin Mary in a new Christmas TV special airing on December 1, 2011. Anderson says she is to play the mother of Jesus in a Christmas Special by Russell Peters. Presented by The Comedy Network and Canadian TV, the show will mix, stand-up, sketch comedy, stop-motion animation, and musical performances. In addition to Peters it will feature Michael Bublé, Ted Lange, Jon Lovitz, and Scott Thompson.
The former Playboy model played the Genie of the Lamp in the holiday time panto Aladdin, at both the Liverpool Empire, and at the New Wimbledon Theatre. She is best known for her work on the television series Baywatch, and was recently featured on Dancing With the Stars.
It should be interesting watching Pamela attempt to fill the shoes of Mary.
