The news here is not necessarily that Arrested Development will have new Episodes via Netflix for all the loyal fans that have continued with the show in its afterlife since cancellation in 2006.

The interesting news here is that Netflix continues to build out it’s content base with more and more original programming. In this case, there was an apparent bidding war between Hulu, Showtime and Netflix for the rights to broadcast the new episodes.
Recently, Netflix has signed a number of content deals with studios to deliver programming in the UK and Ireland.
