iOS 5, the first version of Apples iOS to not require a PC to be used, updated and synced arrives today. Instead of requiring you to be connected to a PC, you now have the option of connecting to Apple’s iCloud instead. There is an ongoing and evolving debate as to whether the cloud in general is ready for prime time for all levels of consumers (we believe it is). It will be interesting to see if Apple’s got it right from the start.
