Following last weeks final hurdle, approval by European regulators, Microsoft has completed it’s acquisition of Skype. The surprising $8.5 Billion deal was struck and announced earlier this year.
Skype products will be integrated into Microsoft products and will continue to be offered where they are today, Microsoft said. With that commitment to continue to offer Skype across all popular platforms and across many types of different devices – Skype has be be considered the front runner in the VOIP and Video Conferencing market with the best opportunity to become ubiqutious in the race to a billion users.
