According to a copy of the invitation and several invitees, Apple has invited some of Silicon Valley’s biggest names to attend the Memorial for Steve Jobs.
Set for Sunday October 16, the private event is by invitation only and will be held at Stanford University’s campus Sunday evening according to an Apple spokesperson.
The memorial is expected to be attended by Silicon Valley luminaries and others close to Jobs.
A small private funeral was held for Jobs last week and a celebration of his life is planned for Apple employees at the company’s Cupertino, Calif., headquarters on October 19.
