The much anticipated Two and a Half Men Season Premiere happens tonight on CBS. With the spectacular, bridge burning, jumping out the window, shooting his own foot, self castrating, emergency slide exit of Charlie Sheen from Two and a Half Men, the show’s lead hedonistic playboy is gone — and with him, the show’s primary source of jokes. Five years after That ’70s Show, Ashton Kutcher returns to TV as Walden Schmidt, a brokenhearted Internet billionaire who has no game with the ladies. Schmidt presumably takes over the now-deceased Charlie Harper’s Malibu home, thrusting Alan (Jon Cryer) into the unfamiliar role of giving relationship advice. ”I’m a terrible mentor,” Cryer says, ”and that’s where a lot of the fun of the show comes from.”. Kutcher is younger, hipper and perhaps prettier. Can he be funnier? No Tigers Blood we’re betting in this one.
Still winning or perhaps that is treading water, after the Two and a Half Men season premiere, the Charlie Sheen Roast airs on Comedy Central. Here’s a link to a preview. We all know it’s a going to be a train wreck. Can we help but watch? Perhaps Tigers Blood in this one.
